Types of Jobs
There are several different types of jobs within Tim Hortons, all of which require a unique set of skills. The typical starting role within the company is that of a team member. This is the most basic role within the company, and it is the individual that has the most direct role of interaction with the customer. This is the person that serves coffee and food. Next, is the designated trainer and the team supervisor. This person organizes all of the team members on duty, delegating tasks and ensuring that all jobs are covered and that customers never need to wait too long for their food. There is also a need for managers, truck drivers, and customer service specialists.
Entry level positions in this company tend to start out at minimum wage. Although this might seem really low, don’t forget that tips are also earned, too. Also, once you gain experience with the company, your pay will go up. Team supervisors and trainers will make between $9 and $10 per hour. Management roles within the company vary quite a bit, ranging from $30,000 per year to $50,000 per year. This variance in pay is due to the fact that different markets will have different amounts of business. Also, managers will see their pay vary based upon experience and their contributions to the company.
As you will find out, there’s also a big need for corporate and upper management employees. These roles will not be available everywhere, but if they exist in your area, they could be worth applying for. The pay for these positions will vary based upon the role and your experience and qualifications.
