Drop off location employees and package handlers usually start out at around $9 per hour, but it’s not uncommon to see experienced employees make twice this.
Other positions typically will vary in pay depending upon the position and the experience. Managers can start out at around $45,000 per year, but if they are able to prove themselves as a valuable asset to the company, they can make much more. Sales reps can make about $30,000 to $40,000 per year to start, plus commissions in some cases. Other roles, such as corporate positions, will pay based upon the responsibility of the position.

UPS employees are expected to be great workers when given independence. A lot of this job is conducted on your own, and your boss will expect you to do what you’re supposed to even if there’s nobody around checking on you. For example, a driver will be given a load of packages to deliver and then sent out on their own. The driver is expected to make each delivery in a timely fashion, and safe driving during all of this is a must.

Set aside about 45 minutes to an hour for the application, and be complete and accurate. This is the first impression that a hiring manager will have of you, so be sure to bring attention to any relevant experience you have.
At your interview, be professional, dressing nicely and acting politely. Talk about the experience you have that will help you to be successful here, especially if you have a delivery background or any sort of customer service experience. Both of these will be helpful to you as this is an industry where customer satisfaction is of the utmost. Be prepared to answer questions about yourself, but also have a few questions prepared to ask about the company and your role within it, too.
