I have heard a lot of good things about the pay that a life insurance agent gets, but also a lot of bad things. Is this job really worth pursuing? I have an interview coming up next week for a job, but I’m not sure if I want to go or not.
Life insurance agents typically work strictly from commission. That means they get paid only when they make sales. Some agents do very well, but the majority find that they work really hard and have nothing to show for it, especially if they are new to the field. Sales can be tough, but if you enjoy this and you’re willing to work hard, even though you won’t always see results right away, then this can be a good job. It’s up to you, your personality, and your pay needs.
