I know that they will sometimes ask you at the end of the interview if you have any questions. Someone told me this was an important part of the interview, so I’m wondering what’s the best question or questions that you can ask at the end?

As a general rule, when you’re asked if you have any questions at the end of an interview, you should always have one prepared. Your question should be geared toward you helping the company, and not the company helping you. Asking “how do you evaluate success here?” is a good way to achieve this. Likewise, a question like “how does your company separate itself from the competition?” is a decent way to figure out whether you and the company culture are a good fit. Use your best judgment based upon how the interview has gone so far as you consider this.
